Roof Repair in Fort Worth for Leaks, Shingles, and Flashing

Most Fort Worth Roof Repairs Start With a Stain on the Ceiling
Most roof repairs in Fort Worth start the same way. Somebody notices a brown ring on a ceiling, or a shingle in the yard after a storm, and wants to know whether it is a small problem or the start of a big one.
Water almost never gets in where the stain shows up inside. It runs along decking and framing before it drops. So the first thing we do is find where it actually starts, then fix that, instead of sealing over the spot you can see and calling it done.
We have repaired roofs in North Texas for more than 20 years. We are accredited by the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating.
Water coming in right now? Call (817) 966-9605. The phone is answered any hour, and the crew comes out during working hours, Monday to Saturday. See emergency roof repair.
Hail or wind came through recently? Start at storm and hail damage instead. An insurance claim may be part of it, and that changes the order things happen in.
Anything else wrong with the roof, or not sure? You are in the right place. Keep reading, or call and we will come look. Every roof inspection is free.

What We Repair
A handful of failures account for most of the roof repairs we do in Fort Worth. If you are not sure which one you are looking at, that is what a roof inspection is for, and every inspection is free.
Roof Leaks
A leak is a symptom, not a diagnosis. We get in the attic, look for water staining on the decking and rafters, and follow it uphill to the entry point. Sometimes it is a nail that backed out. Sometimes it is a valley that was never lapped correctly. Sometimes it is a pipe boot two rafters over from the stain. We tell you which one it is and what it takes to fix it.
Missing or Damaged Shingles
Wind gets under a shingle, breaks the seal strip, and the shingle lifts. It may look fine from the ground for another year. Underneath, the shingles below it are now exposed every time it rains. We replace the damaged asphalt shingles and reseal the surrounding course so the repair holds instead of peeling again in the next storm.
Flashing Repairs
Chimneys, skylights, valleys, and the places a roof meets a wall are where most roofs fail first, because that is where two materials meet. When the flashing lifts, rusts through, or was never lapped right, water runs in behind it. We reseal or replace the flashing and the shingles around it. Is it a skylight? Skylight repair in Fort Worth covers leaks around the unit, the flashing and replacement.
Pipe and Vent Boot Repairs
The rubber boot around a plumbing vent pipe dries out in the Texas sun and cracks. Cracked pipe boots are one of the most common things we find on Fort Worth roofs, and one of the cheapest to fix before the water rots out the decking underneath. We replace the boot and check the decking around it while we are there.
Decking Repairs
If water has been getting in for a while, the plywood under the shingles is usually soft. We cut out what is rotted and replace it before the new shingles go on. Skipping this step is why some repairs fail within a season.
Roof Vent Leaks and Repairs
Ridge vents, turbine vents (the spinning kind), and static box vents leak when the flashing around them fails, the sealant dries out, or the unit rusts through. We reseal or repair the vent and its flashing, or replace it if it is past saving. If the vent is sound but the attic still is not moving air, that is an attic ventilation question rather than a roof repair, and it goes to our attic insulation company. See attic ventilation from DC Attic Insulation, which checks the intake, the exhaust, and how air moves through the attic.
Soffit and Fascia Repairs
Peeling paint on the fascia board, a soffit panel that sags or stains, wood that gives when you press it: water has been getting behind the roof edge. We replace the rotted fascia and soffit boards and fix what let the water in, usually a failed drip edge or a shingle course that stops short, so the new wood stays dry.
Repair or Replace, the Honest Answer
A repair usually makes sense when the roof still has real life left in it, the damage is in one area, and the decking underneath is sound. A roof replacement in Fort Worth usually makes sense when the shingles are brittle and losing granules across the whole roof, when there are leaks in several places at once, or when the roof is near the end of its service life and you would be paying for the same visit again next year.
We will give you the price for both and the reasoning behind it. If the repair will hold, we will say so. If the replacement price is what stops you, financing through Hearth is available for repairs and replacements. Ask when we quote.
How a Repair Visit Goes
-
We look at the roof, then get in the attic. The attic is where the evidence is. Water stains on the decking and rafters show where it came in, not just where it dripped.
-
We photograph what we find and show you. You see the same pictures we do, so the repair is not a matter of taking our word for it.
-
You get the repair cost in writing. If a replacement is the better call, you get that price too, and the reasoning.
-
If you go ahead, we schedule it. You get a date, and our crew does the work in the estimate.
/ FAQS
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does roof repair cost in Fort Worth?
It depends on how much of the roof is affected and whether the decking underneath has to come out. Small repairs like a pipe boot or a handful of shingles sit at the low end. Valley work, flashing rebuilds, and decking replacement cost more. We give you the price after we have looked, not before.
Is it worth repairing an old roof?
If the damage is in one area and the rest of the roof is sound, yes. If the shingles are brittle across the whole roof or there are leaks in more than one place, you are usually paying twice. We will tell you which situation you are in.
How long does a roof repair take?
It depends on what we find. Replacing a pipe boot or a few shingles is a short visit. Cutting out rotted decking or rebuilding flashing takes longer. When we give you the written estimate, we tell you how long the job should take.
Will insurance cover a roof repair?
Sudden storm and hail damage is the kind of thing a homeowner’s policy is generally written to cover. Wear and age are not. Whether yours pays is between you and your insurer. We document what we find either way, so you have the photos if you do file. How a claim goes is on our storm and hail damage page.
Do you repair soffit and fascia?
Yes. Rotted fascia boards and sagging soffit panels usually mean water has been getting behind them from the roof edge for a while. We replace the damaged wood and fix whatever let the water in, so the new boards do not go the same way.
Can a leaking roof vent be repaired, or does it have to be replaced?
Either, depending on the vent. If the housing is sound and the flashing or sealant has failed, we reseal or reflash it. If the vent is rusted through or cracked, we replace it with a matching unit and flash it into the shingles. We tell you which one you are looking at after we have been on the roof.

What a Roof Repair Costs in Fort Worth
What drives the price on a repair: how much of the roof is affected, whether the decking underneath has to be replaced, how steep the roof is, and whether the repair is on a plain field of shingles or at a flashing detail. A single cracked pipe boot and a failed valley are not the same job.
We price the repair after we have been in the attic, not over the phone, because a guess over the phone is how people end up with a second bill.
If you have a leak, a missing shingle, or a stain on the ceiling you have been ignoring, call and we will come look at it. The inspection is free.
